SINGING IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL!

Following our successful Christmas Concerts, STANCHESTER QUIRE - "the community choir with a difference" - will be performing a series of concerts throughout the spring/summer 2023 (see "Performances" tab for updates)

We will restart practices on 6th February 2023 and run through until 3rd April 2023.

We then restart for the summer term on the

17th April 2023 and go through to the 19th June 2023 (Except for the various bank holidays)

Time: 7.30pm-9.00pm (doors open 7.00pm)

We practice weekly at

David Hall, Roundwell Street, South Petherton

TA13 5AA.

This spring and summer we will be learning songs and shanties that illustrate how the sea has affected the lives of the people of South West England through the years.

Our musical director is Eddie Upton, holder of the English Folk Dance and Song Society's gold badge for services to folk music.

Everyone is very welcome to come and join us; there are no auditions and the ability to read music is not essential as we learn everything by ear.  What's more, the first two weeks are free for newcomers (thereafter it's £3 per week).  So why not come and give it a try?
