SINGING IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL!

Following our successful Spring Concerts, STANCHESTER QUIRE - "the community choir with a difference" - will be performing a series of Summer concerts.

Practices restart for the autumn term on Monday 5th September (and are weekly, going through to 21st November 2022)

Time: 7.30pm-9.00pm (doors open 7.00pm)

We practice in the very spacious

David Hall, Roundwell Street, South Petherton

TA13 5AA.

In the meantime, do come and see us at one of our Summer concerts, listed under the "Performances" tab.  We will be singing songs of 'hardship, hope and humour' which have either been collected from, or written about, agriculture and the countryside in the South West of England.

Our musical director is Eddie Upton, holder of the English Folk Dance and Song Society's gold badge for services to folk music.

Everyone is very welcome to come and join us; there are no auditions and the ability to read music is not essential as we learn everything by ear.  What's more, the first two weeks are free for newcomers so why not come and give it a try?
